HOW ONLINE RAFFLE TICKETS WORK.
Buying raffle tickets online is easy. Simply Click on the PayPal symbol above or below and you will be taken to another page to pay for your raffle tickets with a credit card or a PayPal account. Simply put in how many units you want. (1 unit = 1 raffle ticket) Be sure to put all your details in so it is easier to find you if you win.
Then after we receive confirmation of your purchase we will then write out the tickets ourselves and place them into the draw as if you bought them from us personally.
Why online raffles are better and safer than normal raffles
The benefit of buying online is that there is a record of you buying your raffle tickets and your purchase is protected from fraud through paypal and also your credit card provider if you used a credit card.
In the many years I have done charity work I have been involved with many raffles. Some of the problems that you run into is that it is so hard to get back all the raffle tickets on time and some tickets don't get to the draw. I always have some volunteers that forgot to mail them in or mail them on time. Another major problem is the fraud side of things. Some not so nice people get or counterfeit tickets never having the intention of handing the tickets in. There are usually a lot of volunteers hours that go into trying to make sure everyone does the right thing. The main problems here are volunteers are pulled of the important hands on work to do these roles and because of this fraud problem you don't end up handing out as many raffle books as you would like. And for those selling tickets it can be a pain and a lot of wasted time mailing tickets back and forth.
Online tickets save volunteers lots of hours and stress. It also allows the raffle to go all over Australia and the world.
The only negative of an online raffle is that you have to prove very convincingly that you are not a scam. That is why we included the page where you can check out
if we are a legal charity with an authority to fundraise, so check us out, we won't get upset.

HOW TO SELL ONLINE TICKETS TO YOUR FRIENDS
Just collect $10 off all your friends. Then click on the buttons on this page and you will be taken to a PayPal page to pay for the tickets. After the tickets have been paid for you will return to this site to enter in all the details the same way you would for normal raffle tickets.
When & where the raffle is drawn
The raffle tickets are $10 each and will be drawn on Thursday 11th September 2008 at the 2008 refugee ball in sydney. We will also be sending everyone a text message to remind them of the draw a few weeks before if you included a mobile number, which also acts as a confirmation that your tickets made it into the draw.

If you have ordered raffle ticket books and have sold them all, you can still mail them to us.

After completing your payment you will return to this site to enter the details for each ticket the same way you would for a normal raffle ticket. Make sure you keep the originals as you will still need to produce these should you win a prize.
