Fundraising Goal.

How much are we trying to raise

There are two different goals here.

World Goal

For the Educational Peru conference we are trying to raise $300,000. It costs approximately $3,000 AUD on average to get someone from a region affected by human rights abuses to Peru in October. Our world wide goal is to get people from 100 different regions to attend. The plan here is have 6 different countries to raise $50,000 each. This is the main reason we have created a world wide raffle, to make it easier for everyone. But we encourage you to use other fundraising methods if you feel more confident.

Australian Goal

Australia has the first goal of raising our $50,000 for the Peru conference. And then an additional $50,000 for our other programs. (See why we are raising money for more details.)

Aim High

But as it is important to get these regions affected by human rights abuse to Peru any way we can we all should set our goals alot higher than the $50,000 incase our fundraising friends in other counrties fall a little short. As the saying goes "Aim for the stars, as you might just hit a mountain." Work out how you raise $500 and you will usually get $200-$300. Work out how to raise $2000 and you will probably get $1,500-$1,600 and so on. So don't be afraid to aim high.

We also have another saying in Australia "If you reach your goal you didn't aim high enough." So don't be afraid to fail either. We really appreciate you getting involved with us to doing the best you can.

But keep it simple. Aim high, then break it down into really small steps and then take your first step and sell one ticket and then one book of tickets.
