Two ways you can buy tickets

There are two ways you can buy raffle tickets. Firstly you can order traditional raffle ticket books by clicking on the link in the menu. Secondly you can purchase them online on this website and we will write out a ticket for you. This can save you a lot of time picking up and dropping of raffle ticket books.

Why an online raffle is safer than a traditional raffle

Having worked in charity fundraising for over a decade I can tell you there is a lot of problems associated with them. Firstly there is a lot of fraud where people collect tickets and sell them and even make their own and then not hand in the tickets or money. An online raffle stops that because you are purchasing tickets directly from us and there is also a record or your purchase on both your and our bank statement. We use PAYPAL so we never see your bank details. Paypal and credit cards also protect you from illegal purchases. Another problem associated with raffles is the time it takes to physically pick them up and drop off the payment. Not to mention some poor volunteer ends up having to deal with large amounts of money creating a whole new set of problems. But one of the biggest problems with raffles is that you are usually only able to sell things locally. In our case we are raising money for and from concerned people all over the world. And finally with internet these days we are able to let technology get the word out and do most of the work freeing up volunteers to do more hands on work and not just trying to keep the charity alive.

The only negative about an online raffle is that you need to be confident that we are not a scam. That is why we have put up a section on how to check if we are a legal charity in the left menu. You can then call us directly if you still have any concerns.
