How to help fundraise
Basically you can help fundraise anyway you want. If you choose to not fundraise with our fundraising projects and do your own thing we first ask you contact us so we can make sure that all our legal responsibilites are met with your project. This usually is a very quick process.
The below project is a fundrasing raffle that we are running world wide. There are easy ways and hard ways to raise money. Below is a simply and easy way to raise money that takes less time and stress. Events can be another good way but they often have a lot of stress and risk that can also happen.
You can earn lots of cool prizes. If you don't like selling
raffle tickets then you can still join in and get involved. Here are the details.
-If you organize others to sell tickets then what they raise goes onto your score. (See conditions below)
-Each raffle ticket is $10.
-There are 25 raffle tickets to a book.
-You can buy raffle tickets online
-You can order traditional raffle tickets through this website
-If you don't like selling raffle tickets then you can just collect 25 $10 donations to do the same thing.
-There is a world 1st prize of a $4000 holiday voucher to anywhere in the world.
-There are also prizes for indiviual countries (SEE LIST OF PRIZES for more details).
-The first 200 people to raise $250 will receive a free ticket to the refugee ball in Sydney Australia. (1 book of raffle tickets)
-If you raise $1,250 you will receive a $100 home entertainment voucher.(5 books of raffle tickets)
-If you raise $6,250 you will receive a $500 home entertainment voucher.(25 books of raffle tickets)
-If you raise $25,000 you will receive a free volunteering trip to Peru in October 2008 to help us run the a conference to help people and regions
from all over the world overcome the effects of human rights abuse. (100 books of raffle tickets)
Conditions for prizes for people that fundraise
We hate conditions as much as everyone. But when we were putting everything together we noticed that we needed to have 2 conditions in here for everything to work. Now as you know if you organize other people to sell raffle tickets or raise money, then what they raise goes on your total. No person will be able to sell one hundred raffle books on their own, but finding 10 people to organize 10 raffle books to be sold is much easier. Now the problem we found was as follows. Lets say person A doesn't sell any books and then gets person B involved and he doesn't sell any tickets either and so is the same for person c,d,e and f. Then all of a sudden person G comes along and sells 100 books and earns him/herself a free volunteering trip to Peru. Now under a system with no conditions everyone from A to G would earn a free trip to Peru. The program would make no money and we would help no one.
So then rule 1 is, before you can earn any fundraising prizes you need to sell 1 book of raffle tickets (25 tickets) peronally or raise $250.
Rule 2 is slightly more complicated. Basically it means that each dollar raised can only be used once for each prize. If a person you got involved sells 125 books, then the first 100 books they sold goes towards their trip to peru and the 25 books they sold that are left over goes onto your total. In this case you would earn the $500 voucher. If they sell 50 books and then another person you got involved sells 50 as well, then they both earn $500 vouchers and you would earn a trip to Peru.
The raffle is open to everyone. As volunteers inside our organization will help organize and sell most of the tickets it would be silly to exclude them from all the prizes aswell. So we decided that anyone can enter. On the night of the draw we will be using an independant person to do the draw.
Every part of the raffle process including record keeping may be viewed and looked at by any interested parties.
